Steve DeWolf is a civil trial lawyer who started DeWolf Law in 2013. In 1991, he left a large, national firm and founded Bellinger & DeWolf. In his 21 years with Bellinger & DeWolf, he enjoyed a varied state and national practice. Steve has tried personal injury, employment and commercial suits in both state and federal courts. He has represented and sued directors and officers in fiduciary litigation. Clients have retained him in legal malpractice matters, as well as civil rights cases. He has represented clients in negotiations with insurance companies. Finally, Steve has appeared before the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and the Texas 5th Court of Appeals. He has also been selected as an arbitrator in multiple matters.

Appearances:

For almost eight years, Steve was the Dallas Fox news affiliate legal commentator on the Good Day morning show. In addition, he has been interviewed a number of times by TV and radio stations and newspapers from Texas and throughout the United States. This has included all major networks, Court TV, the Wall Street Journal, Associated Press, Dallas Morning News, Fort-Worth Star Telegram, Texas Lawyer, National Public Radio and WBAP. In addition, he has written a number of editorials for the Dallas Morning News.

Seminars and CLE:

For the past 20 years, Steve has provided CLE and seminar presentations throughout Texas. These have included presentations on director and officer liability, school law, wind law, as well as civil rights matters.

When not working, Steve is spending time with his family, traveling, and flying WWII aircraft.
He started Wind Tex Energy in 2002. That company has developed six wind farms, which are in commercial operation representing between 5% and 10% of Texas wind energy today.
